Winter '18 Realignment Yoga

Beginner Workshop:

Wednesday, January 3, 2018     7:00 to 8:15 PM

This workshop will introduce you to Realignment Yoga.  Body alignment and basic poses will be explained and practiced to get you ready to begin classes the next week.  If you are new the Realignment Yoga, or have not been to classes for a while it's great way to start the session.  Cost is $15 and will be included with your $125 registration fee if you decide to join the session, so think of it as a free class.

TUESDAY'S:

  • 5:30 to 6:45 PM - Realignment Yoga
  • 7:00 to 8:15 PM - Realignment & Meditation

WEDNESDAY'S:

  • 9:30 to 10:45 AM - Slow Realignment
  • 5:30 to 6:45 PM - Realignment Yoga
  • 7:00 to 8:15 PM - Realignment Yoga

THURSDAY'S:

  • 5:30 to 6:45 PM - Realignment Yoga

Cost for 10 Week Session:

  • $125 for New Registrations
  • $112.50 for those returning from this year's "Spring" or "Summer" Sessions
  • $15 Drop In

(Missed classes can be made up by attending other classes offered during this session, and cannot be transferred to future 10 week sessions.)

To Register:

  • A completed Registration & Waiver Form, along with $25 non refundable deposit is required to hold your registration in the class you choose.  If you are continuing from the last session please complete Returning Form.  This can be paid by cash, cheque or etransfer, with the balance due at the first scheduled class you attend.

Realignment Yoga:

is all about movement, with the body, breath and mind.  The classes will provide you with a new understanding of what we do in our daily lives that contribute to our bodies experiencing tension, discomfort and pain.  You will find muscles you never knew you had, aid the forgotten muscles into coming back to life, and discovering new areas in your body where you hold tension which leads to strain.  This class is for everyone.  Participants in this class must be able to get up and down off the floor with relative ease.

Realignment & Meditation:

is a combination poses similar to Restorative and Yin style yoga practices using the principles of Alignment.  Poses will be practiced in supine (laying on your back), seated, and prone (laying on your belly) positions.  The objective in this class, is not to get to where your body can go (the edge), but to back off, use props for support, and the breath to release the joints and muscles.  The class will conclude with fifteen minutes of guided meditation with the breath.
